An exciting opportunity is now available for a Permanent Full-Time Principal Human Resource Advisor to join the Northern Region at Townsville.

In the role of Principal Human Resource Advisor, you will provide expert, business focused human resource management advice, consultancy and support services on a wide range of complex human resource and change management issues to Customer Service Branch Northern Region to enhance business outcomes and support the achievement of corporate goals.
Accountabilities include: Deliver quality, business-focused, and cost-effective human resource services to enhance business outcomes and achieve corporate goals. The role includes:Employee relationsPerformance managementRecruitment and selectionManaging grievances and disciplinary mattersRehabilitationLearning and developmentAdvise the Regional Director, Regional Management Team, and HR specialists on key human resource and change management issues affecting business and corporate objectives.Develop, implement, and improve human resource practices and procedures, including:Monitoring HR trendsLeading Divisional and Corporate initiativesRecommending proactive strategiesEnsuring consistency and sharing best practices across regions and divisionsEducate and coach team leaders and managers on effective people management.Support and implement HR initiatives within business units, including:Workforce planning and strategyCapability developmentEquity and diversityIndustrial and employee relationsPerformance managementCode of ConductBuild and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Present clear, high-quality, and timely correspondence on people management issues.Prepare submissions and represent business units in relevant tribunals, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.Participate in Regional Management Team meetings and contribute to the development of the Region's business plan.In Return We Offer a Range of Benefits Which Include: We celebrate diversity in creating a workplace culture that is built on respect, dignity and fairness.A competitive remuneration package including Employer Superannuation contributions up to 12.75%Five weeks annual leave and annual leave loading of 14%Salary packaging arrangementsLearning and development opportunitiesAccess to study assistance programsWellness ProgramEmployee Assistance ProgramWork/life balance, variety and flexibilityThe position is located in the Townsville regional office; however, the location of the role may be flexible, upon negotiation.
