Be an IR lead on TMR's biggest projects such as any of TMR's four Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
As a Principal Human Resources Advisor, you will support the Manager in supervision of a team of passionate IR practitioners, working in partnership with business areas across all of the organisation to escalate issues, liaise with employee unions and central agencies.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
Provision of expert advice and consultancy services to executives, senior managers and clients matters relating to Employee Relations, Industrial Relations and Public Sector Policy. Assist where required in sensitive industrial and workforce issues and develop, negotiate and implement appropriate strategies for timely resolution in consultation with relevant parties. Represent the department at high level negotiations relating to industrial and workforce relations issues, including advocacy at the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission. Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to gain support and influence HR outcomes for the Division and TMR. Support the manager in the supervision of staff in aspects of people performance, including recruitment and selection coaching and development, workplace health and safety and role modelling ethical behaviour, and decision making. Mandatory qualifications and conditions: There are no mandatory qualifications for this role. However, TMR values the enhanced work performance which may be gained from the expanded knowledge base and skills acquired during tertiary training and encourages both existing and potential staff to participate in life-long learning. The possession of relevant tertiary qualifications in industrial relations, law, human resources or a related field will be well regarded. Membership and/or certification with the Australian Human Resources Institute/Queensland Industrial Relations Society would be well regarded. Requirements of the role: Demonstrated business partnering in employee relations and in particular industrial relations. Demonstrated experience in intervention of disputes. Supervision of team members an advantage. Applications will remain current for 12 months.
