The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Principal House Officer (Urology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will Provide inpatient and outpatient medical care under supervision and direction of senior medical staff.Actively participate in tutorials, grand rounds, attend compulsory courses, and participate in case presentations to develop clinical knowledge and skills.Assess patients, determining, selecting, and organizing investigations.Establish a clinical management plan for patients in consultation with the Consultant. To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.AHPRA Registration.Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B.Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost). Temporary full time (up to 12 months).
Base salary ranging from $129,583 - $142,727 per annum.

The Urology service is involved in all aspects of clinical care of Urology surgical patients at the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The Urology Principal House Officer will also attend theatre sessions and be included in the weekend on-call roster.
