The purpose of this role is to assist the Director, Staff Specialists and Senior Medical Staff to ensure that Urology services provided by the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service are of the highest standard and delivered in an efficient and effective manner, and to be involved in the provision of patient services.
The position provides day to day surgical services to patients presenting to the outpatient and inpatient areas of the hospital. It is intended that the Principal House Officer will both maximise his/her own professional development and to assist in the professional development of junior medical staff and the training of students.

About the role Maintain up to date surgical skills.Provide high quality, safe care and advice to patients presenting to the clinical areas of the Department of Surgery.Participate in the training of and supervision of junior medical staff.Role requirements Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution.Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current annual licence.Evidence of active participation in a Continuing Professional Development ProgramPlease refer to the role description for further details. Generous remuneration package, comprising base salary range: $4966.90 - $5470.70 p.f., (+ applicable allowances/benefits) employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (L4- L7) (Fixed Term Temporary Full-time up to 02/02/2025, 76 hrs p/f) Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy.
