About us: Emerald Hospital is a 36-bed facility, has two operating theatres and approximately 160 staff delivering services across acute, community and primary care. 300 to 400 babies are born at the Emerald Hospital each year. Blackwater Hospital is a 16-bed facility incorporating 4 aged care beds, providing acute inpatient, accident and emergency, pharmacy, outpatient and urgent radiology services to the community.About the role: The Principal House Officer provides high quality inpatient and outpatient medical services at the Emerald and Blackwater Hospitals with a commitment to patient safety and continuous service improvement. The position is required to provide medical services in those areas under the direct and/or indirect supervision of the senior medical staff involved and assists in the professional development and support of medical students.About you:Mandatory qualification/s: MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).If qualifications were obtained outside Australia, the candidate must be eligible for registration with AHPRA with Level 3 supervision and provide the following:Evidence of successful completion of IELTS or equivalent English Language test results within the last year.Evidence of successful completion AMC MCQ (part 1) examination (if registering via the Standard Pathway).Evidence of recency of clinical practice, supported by current references.Current Life Support Qualifications (one of the following): EMST, ACLS, APLS, PALS, EEM.Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary approach to service provision.Demonstrated clinical experience and skills in the provision of clinical services at Principal House Officer level.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $149,091 p.a. (L4), $163,911 p.a. (L7), $172,382 p.a. (L9) is comprised of:A salary rate between $129,583 - $142,727 p.a. (L4 - L7)A salary rate between $129,583 - $150,240 p.a.
