Our hospital offers a variety of essential services, including 24-hour Emergency Medical Services with an 8-bed Emergency Unit and 4 short stay beds, acute inpatient services in a 22-inpatient unit, slow stream rehabilitation, and palliative inpatient services. It also provides women and family health programs, extended midwifery services, outpatient clinics for obstetrics, child health, and paediatrics.
Yeppoon is a picturesque coastal town in Central Queensland, known for its stunning beaches, tropical climate, and vibrant community. Located just 25 minutes from Rockhampton, it serves as the principal hub of the Capricorn Coast, which features a series of charming seaside communities.
About the role: The Principal House Officer (Generalist) provides high quality inpatient and outpatient medical services to the Capricorn Coast Hospital, to ensure 24-hour coverage under the direction of Senior Medical staff. The facility is accredited for ACRRM training, and Principal House Officers (PHO's) will actively supported through training requirements. Opportunities to utilise or gain Advanced Skills are significant across the health service.
About you: Mandatory qualification/s: Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).Hold current General Registration with AHPRA. Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory a minimum of two (2) years practice within the Australian healthcare system would be preferred.
