Principal Health, Safety & Wellness Level 8 - $137,325.58 per annum (incl $20,000 Port Hedland Allowance) Residential Role The Town

The Role
As Principal Health, Safety & Wellness, you will be leading the Health & Safety strategy for a GOLD Certificate of Achievement winning organisation (WorkSafe Plan 2022), in co-operation with ELT & SLT teams.
You will have a collaborative working style and a positive mindset, with the ability to use your initiative to provide effective solutions.
With a deep-seated passion for creating and maintaining safe environments, you will be an inspirational leader, influencing and coaching those around you to prioritise health, safety and wellbeing in all aspects of their work.
Your proactive approach and unwavering commitment to health, safety and wellbeing will drive positive change and foster a culture where safety is at the forefront of everyone's mind.
You will focus on proactive risk management as part of a program of safety improvement initiatives, with an emphasis on the provision of systems, support, advice and comprehensive training programs for line leaders and employees, to uphold the highest standards of workplace health and safety across all areas of the organisation's activities, in accordance with relevant legislation and codes of practice.
You will be a strategic thinker, and will report on your recommendations, presenting these to the Executives.
One of your first projects will involve supporting the rollout of our new Health & Safety system.
Your role will serve as a catalyst for transformation, spearheading significant cultural change across a business partner model.
Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a collaborative environment and driving innovative solutions that align with our strategic goals.
As subject matter expert in your field, you will have a sound understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and will champion this, ensuring our safety programs are always compliant, working with all directorates of the organisation and bringing these key stakeholders along on the journey.
You will be joining the team at an exciting time as the Town embarks on a culture of change with embracing of a wide range of new technologies, a large capital-works program, and a number of other projects that make the Town a desirable place to live and work.
Work Related Requirements The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess: Tertiary Qualification in Work, Health & Safety (Advanced Diploma or higher)
