Hays Port Hedland, Western Australia, AustraliaPrincipal Health, Safety and WellnessOur client is located in Port Hedland and currently has a Principal Health, Safety and Wellness vacancy on a permanent basis.Your New RoleThe Principal Health, Safety and Wellness role will oversee the implementation, compliance and management of the Safety and wellness strategy and WHS management system while actively promoting employee wellbeing and a safe workplace culture.
This role is responsible for providing advice, coaching and support across the organisation and workplace sites.
You will also be responsible for overseeing inspections, audits, workers' compensation claims and injury management.Responsibilities will include:Implementing, reviewing and maintaining workplace health, safety and wellness programsWorking towards and maintaining compliance with relevant WHS regulations and standardsCompleting workplace health and safety auditing and workplace inspections and producing reportsOverseeing the implementation, compliance, and management of the WHS management systemManaging effective rehabilitation programsCoordinating and developing WHS training programsMaintaining compliance with legislation standardsCoordinating the investigations of all incidentsConducting risk assessments and identifying hazardsWhat you need:Territory qualification in workplace health and safety (Advanced Diploma or higher)Extensive knowledge and experience of the Work, Health and Safety Act 2020, workers' compensation and Injury Management Act 2023, WHS Codes of Practice and Framework to protect the Health, Safety and Welfare of workersAbility to interpret and apply WHS legislation, policies, and proceduresKnowledge and experience of implementing, maintaining, and monitoring relevant WHS online systemsDemonstrated experience in worker's compensation, drug and alcohol management, and injury managementDemonstrated ability to lead a team of workplace, safety and wellness professionalsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong administration skills, report writing and proficiency in Microsoft OfficeWhat they Offer:This role is paying a salary of $137,325.58 per annum along with a great additional benefits package, including:Town Provided HousingUtilities Allowance of $1,500 per annumRelocation Assistance of up to $10,0006 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading11.5% superannuation, with a co-contribution scheme of up to 14%Wellness program - this includes a free gym membership, pool passes, and moreUniform provided - $400 allowance per yearTraining and professional development opportunitiesGenerous paid parental leaveTo apply please send your resume to ****** levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionHuman ResourcesIndustriesGovernment Relations Services
