Our exceptional mining practices, strong safety & health culture, and our focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence are renowned in the industry.Job DescriptionReporting to our Financial Controller, we have an excellent opportunity for a Principal - Group Accounting to join our corporate finance team located in Creek Street, Brisbane. You will:Lead a small finance team ensuring accurate and timely completion of the Group's account reconciliations, as well as centralised and corporate month-end close activities.Manage and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, overseeing month-end SAP processing.Support site commercial teams with their month-end processes as needed, including Lease and Rehabilitation accounting models and associated reviews.Assist with SG&A budget and forecasting processes.Assist with ASX and regulatory reporting requirements, including successful completion of all internal and external audit requirements.QualificationsTo be a success, you will need:Qualified CIMA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent.Minimum of 5 years in financial accounting, ideally in a similar Accounting Manager role.Proven experience in preparation and review of complex account reconciliations.Ability to lead a team.Proficiency in accounting software, ideally SAP S4HANA.Additional InformationOur benefits include:Flexible working arrangements including start/finish times and hybrid home/office.Modern, conveniently located office close to transport and cafes.Great down-to-earth culture with a team that work hard but also enjoy a laugh.Free gym membership and modern end-of-trip facilities.We welcome applications from all diversity groups.For more information, contact ****** (no agencies at this stage thanks)
