Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to lead and manage complex geotechnical engineering projects. This senior-level role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership, as you will oversee all stages of projects from initial investigations to final delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring the development and delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions for challenging geotechnical issues.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing clients and stakeholders, ensuring repeat business and long-term partnerships.Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and providing strategic advice on geotechnical matters.Expand the client base by networking and participating in industry events, conferences, and seminars.Contribute to research and development (R&D) initiatives to drive innovation, with a focus on both existing and emerging geotechnical fields.Key Responsibilities: Ensure that all geotechnical projects adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring a safe working environment.Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the client's specifications and regulatory requirements.Lead the design and execution of geotechnical aspects of projects, ensuring the successful completion of each project while facilitating future business opportunities.Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and technically excellent team culture.Prepare and review geotechnical reports, feasibility studies, and technical proposals, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and regulations.Key Qualifications: A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline (Masters or higher preferred).Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia or a Registered Professional Geologist (RPGeo) with the Australian Institute of Geoscientists.Registered with the NSW Design and Building Practitioners Scheme 2021 and/or eligible to obtain a TfNSW Accredited Slope Assessor designation.A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex projects.Extensive experience in geotechnical analysis and design, as well as managing geotechnical investigations.A comprehensive understanding of Australian geotechnical standards, regulations, and environmental considerations.If you are passionate about geotechnical engineering and eager to take on new challenges, we would love to hear from you.
