Primary Objective: Manage the Gambling Systems team to ensure technology-centric gambling systems deployed by Northern Territory gambling business licensees are fair, secure, and auditable.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Provide sound leadership, resources, and management support to staff of the Gambling Systems team in the delivery of regulatory services.Conduct evaluations of technology-centric gambling systems and products to ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes of practice.Review e-Gambling business licence applications to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Northern Territory Racing and Wagering Commission, the Director of Racing and Wagering, and the Director of Gaming Control.Utilise gambling product performance and activity data to facilitate compliance activities and respond to reporting obligations.Undertake activities in accordance with an enforcement and compliance program across gambling-related legislative frameworks.Selection Criteria: Essential: Demonstrated team leadership ability, high degree of personal motivation and integrity with the ability to meet deadlines.Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to convey complex technical issues.Demonstrated sound analytical, judgement, problem solving, and investigative skills.Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislative frameworks, policies, codes of practice, and technical requirements.Possess knowledge of software testing methodologies and change management processes.Experience with contemporary digital electronic, communications, and microprocessor-based systems.Demonstrated experience with database management systems.Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in ICT or other relevant discipline will be highly regarded.Knowledge of current NT legislation and Australian Standards in relation to the gambling industry.Further Information: The recommended applicant may be required to undergo a criminal history check prior to selection being confirmed.
