We provide fully integrated environmental and social assessment and management services including concept and feasibility, technical assessment, consultation, approvals, delivery, operation, and decommissioning.About The Role:Due to continuous growth, our Adelaide team is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant/Planner to lead and manage planning and approval projects, and environmental impact assessments for major infrastructure, renewables, mining, and government sectors throughout South Australia (with potential opportunities to support projects nationally). This role involves handling complex and multi-dimensional environmental assessments and approval processes. Our key services in demand for the Adelaide environmental team are due diligence assessments, approval strategies, planning and environmental approvals, environmental and technical studies, compliance and auditing, and environmental management. You will have the opportunity to hone your project management skills; leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver great project outcomes for our diverse range of clients.You will advise our clients across the development spectrum, including initial site feasibility assessments, impact assessments, approvals strategy, planning and environment approvals, development and implementation of environmental management plans and post-approval compliance. Working as part of a national business will offer opportunities for you to learn and develop your skills.This role is suited to an environmental professional or an urban planner looking to expand and diversify their experience and career.Key Responsibilities:Project Management: Scope, plan, manage, and execute environmental assessment, planning, approvals, and environmental management projects, ensuring integrated outcomes and high-quality deliveryTeam Management: Manage project teams to achieve exceptional project results that meet or exceed client expectationsQuality Assurance: Maintain a focus on delivering high-quality project outcomes and enhancing client satisfactionClient Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, developing high-quality proposals to secure new businessAbout You:We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual with 10+ years' experience. In this role you will develop your consulting, writing, project management and technical skills through delivering a range of planning and environmental consulting projects.You will have:Qualifications in environmental science, planning, or related degree disciplineMinimum of 10 years of experience in environmental impact assessment or planning and approvals (SA experience preferred) - consulting experience is desirableStrong knowledge of environmental and planning legislation, regulations, standards, and best practicesExperience managing medium to large projects through the development spectrum, including managing timelines, budgets, and resourcingAdaptability to undertake a range of technical work based on project requirementsInterest and aptitude in working across multiple disciplinesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to develop and maintain positive team and client relationshipsOrganised, motivated and self-directedWhat's In it For You:We care about our people and want to help you grow in your career.
