An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Environmental Consultant to join our internationally recognised Environmental Management, Permitting & Compliance team based in Adelaide.
The team provides a wide range of project management, due diligence, environmental impact assessment and approvals under the EP Act, EPBC Act, BC Act and Mining Act.
The EMPC team works closely with other specialist teams in SLR to deliver a complete environmental service to clients across a range of sectors.
This position will be responsible for supporting the Adelaide EMPC Team Lead to drive the business in South Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing advice regarding best practice environmental and management principles to clients and internal SLR team members.Development of Mine Operations Plans and Program for Environment Protection and Rehabilitation reports.Developing, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team members, particularly across other teams within Adelaide and other APAC Offices.Working within and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors.Preparation of Progressive Rehabilitation Closure Plans, Estimated Rehabilitation Cost applications, and Mining Lease Applications.Due diligence assessments.Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:

A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.Ability to win work through business development and demonstrated client management expertise.Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects.Demonstrated knowledge of SA & Commonwealth environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelines.Experience in the mining, quarrying, infrastructure, renewables and/or agribusiness sectors.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.Benefits
