About the Role:
As the Principal Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Engineering Information management at the company. Your mission will be to lead the development and implementation of initiatives, systems, and processes that enhance Engineering Information, ensuring alignment with the endorsed EIM roadmap. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders, making informed data-driven decisions, and ensuring compliance with established standards.
This Brisbane-based position offers a Monday to Friday workweek with flexible working arrangements and occasional site travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage and manage diverse internal and external stakeholders (MECoE, Technology, Operations).
Assess and improve data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, recommending enhancements to data quality and integrity.
Identify opportunities to boost productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Plan, track, and manage projects to drive value and achieve outcomes.
Develop and execute integrated change management plans, manage change readiness, and upskill leaders and stakeholders.
Conduct risk assessments in line with risk management frameworks, fostering a risk-aware culture.
Prioritize work effort and resources effectively.
Ensure adherence to safe work systems and standards through regular workplace inspections.
About You:
You are a collaborative leader with a strong track record in stakeholder engagement and a passion for networking. Your performance-driven approach is evident in your pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
A tertiary qualification in engineering, drafting, computer science, information management systems, or equivalent (preferred).
In-depth knowledge of engineering information management within heavy industry operations, projects, or engineering.
Experience managing complex databases or data sets, particularly with SmartPlant tools.
Strong business acumen and understanding of the interaction between processes, systems, and people in Projects, Engineering, and Operations.
Familiarity with current leading 3D and data-centric software (preferred).
Commercial acumen related to contract and supply agreements is desirable.
