They will also serve as a key contact for Engineering expertise and support for the broader organisation regarding matters related to the region's water and sewer network.The ideal candidate will be motivated by a busy role that provides ample opportunities to cross-train, develop and advance their career.Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate leadership and mentoring capability, including succession planning for the Director position, with potential acting responsibilities.Provide engineering support and advice to the operations team for water and sewerage management.Conduct network planning modeling.Provide peer reviews, mentoring and guidance to development engineers.Maintenance of water and sewerage assets in accordance with asset management plans.Provide overall engineering support and project management as required.Qualifications, Skills and AttributesTertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar related discipline.Comprehensive practical experience in water and sewerage operations and planning.RPEQ or an ability to obtain.High-level written and verbal communication skills.A passion for the water and sewerage industry.Working and Living in the RegionExperience the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and the stunning Whitsunday Islands while at work and play!
