We specialise in the design, construction, commissioning and maintenance of high voltage infrastructure such as transmission substations, wind farms and battery storage systems.With over 680 employees and offices in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, CPP are preferred partners with Australia's major transmission network providers and we are rapidly growing to play a significant role in connecting Australia's energy future.The OpportunityDue to the creation of an additional project delivery team at CPP, we are seeking a Principal Engineer – Primary Design to join our large in-house team of highly experienced engineers.You will hold both technical and supervisory responsibilities whilst overseeing the development of high-quality designs for primary high-voltage (HV) systems.Joining our team of over 140 Engineers and Designers, you will collaborate with the wider team and provide excellence in primary engineering. You will be the technical lead across all aspects of primary, civil, structural, building and site services engineering, supporting the project delivery including concept development and tendering phases.Bringing your experience with HV systems, you will be an integral part of our team and play a large role in the success of the various flagship projects we are delivering here at CPP.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will possess:Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent10+ years experience at a senior level with substation design and/or utility grid connectionsLeadership qualities and the ability to mentor othersStrong knowledge of Australian industry standardsHigh-level communication and stakeholder management skillsWhy Join Us?
