Principal Engineer - Process Engineering About the Company:
Our Perth-based client is on the trajectory to emerge as a leading figure in process engineering across diverse sectors, including Industrial, Oil & Gas, Defense, and Aerospace industries.
Position Overview: We are in search of a Principal Engineer to join our newly formed business team and play a pivotal role in assembling and growing our engineering team. This role involves spearheading the selection and development of engineers for product design, development, and realization.
Key Responsibilities: Utilize 3D CAD designs integrated into our VR/AR simulation software for client presentations and ergonomic verifications prior to manufacturing. Directly oversee a small team of engineers specializing in Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics, Mechanical Design, Process Safety, Hazardous Area, and Process/Production. Manage resourcing and coordination with external providers for specialized design segments for projects. Facilitate practical field experience opportunities for Trainee Engineers through collaboration with local universities. Ensure optimization of concept designs and maintain quality standards from inception to product delivery. Essential Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in process engineering within Industrial, Oil & Gas Defense, or Aerospace sectors. Proficiency in design, construction, and operation of processing plants and equipment. Strong experience in Product Design and 3D design modeling and simulation. Proven expertise in project management. Comprehensive understanding across multidisciplinary engineering services. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a knack for creative solutions to complex technical challenges. Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a collaborative mindset. Familiarity with process simulation software like Aspen HYSYS or PRO/II is advantageous.
