We focus on developing Enterprise-grade platforms and collaborate across Atlassian to promote the adoption of the platform.What you'll doIn this role as a Principal Engineer, you will report to the Head of Cloud Readiness Foundations and will be working across the enterprise cloud organization which serves the crucial functions for the whole companyCollaborate with partners to get clarity on priorities, scheduling and scope of workIdentify blockers, goals, success metrics ensuring awareness, OKR/roadmap awareness, and expectationsManage projects, process, partners and timelinesOwn the delivery of critical projects in a microservices environmentYearly/quarterly/sprint planning, and other Agile ritualsBuild an open, trusting, operationally mature cultureParticipate in hiring planning and other exercisesCollaborate in technical/architectural discussions, provide direction, and drive decision-Your backgroundStrong technical expertise and 12+ years experience in designing/building enterprise grade solutions using microservices. Fluency in the current landscape (Java stack, Kotlin, Front end stack preferably React, Observability tools, and service operations).Passion for software engineering excellence (design principles and patterns, unit testing, performance engineering, best practices for security and privacy etc)Hands on Experience in cloud platform - AWS would be neededExposure to KubernetesPassion and aptitude for recognizing, raising, and reconciling gaps and redundant efforts across organizationsExcellent collaboration, communication and leadership skills.
