The Principal Engineer Cloud role is a key multi-skilled role responsible for ensuring that applications are designed, developed, deployed and maintained in alignment with infrastructure capabilities and operational considerations.
This role is responsible of compliance, security controls and Public Cloud best practice and It requires collaboration with a large set of stakeholders across Infrastructure, Architecture and Development to ensure solutions run smoothly and are scalable in meeting transaction growth. It is a hands-on, multi-skilled role that touches application lifecycle management, architecture, technical design, application development, technical testing, infrastructure competencies and Cloud best practice.
What you'll do
Provide operations and infrastructure support to the software delivery teams
Support our production deployment and disaster recovery capabilities
Drive Continuous Improvement by extending automation across the software delivery, infrastructure and operations practices.
Drives engineering initiatives, allocate tasks to initiative members or Lead the project delivery across the tribes.
What we're looking for Expert level experience with Public Cloud, Azure solution design and implementation as well as CI/CD using Azure DevOps
Expert level experience with Infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
Current and deep level and hands-on experience with container Technologies - Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker for Windows, Azure Container Services, Mesos, Docker Swarm etc.
Experience the following areas: On-Prem to Cloud migrations, database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics, IT Security, Risk & Compliance, Migration to PaaS solutions)\
Understanding of and experience with the following pillars of a well-architected framework : operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.
