The design team operates as an in-house provider of expert services and advice to internal Project Managers.The design team works closely with internal customers undertaking planning, preconstruction and delivery to provide services and advice across a range of transport infrastructure projects from minor infrastructure upgrades to new, major infrastructure.Some of your responsibilities will include:Lead and guide a team of Civil Designers and Engineers, providing expert technical direction and mentorship for the successful execution of design projects in the district's civil infrastructure programs.Exercise professional judgment to offer advice and assistance concerning design processes and engineering considerations ensuring projects and maintenance works meet technical design objectives in areas lacking defined engineering standards, promoting innovation and creativity in problem-solving.Offer expertise in evaluating engineering and design options, material usage, resource allocation, and construction practices, advising on their suitability within projects.
