An exceptional opportunity to experience this dynamic industry and be part of the energy transition awaits you as a Principal at Marsh Melbourne within our Energy and Power Team. In this role, you'll be at the helm of driving growth, profitability, and client satisfaction within a portfolio of complex priority accounts in the energy and power sector.
You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of accounts while also being a key member of a broader service team on large, complex accounts. Your responsibilities include fostering strong client relationships and delivering unparalleled client service, serving as a trusted advisor, pursuing new business opportunities, and expanding the range of Marsh products and services accessible to clients. To achieve this, you will work closely with the Victorian Energy & Power team and collaborate with the broader Pacific and Global Energy & Power practice. Collaboration and teamwork with our clients, insurers, and within Marsh is integral to this role.

Foster meaningful relationships with insurers, clients, and diverse Marsh colleagues. Support the Victorian Energy & Power Leader with financial reporting and team budgets. Mentor and coach junior colleagues. Engage in industry events, conferences, and client functions in the energy and power sector. We hope you possess: Excellence in Client Service (within the energy and power sector is preferred but not essential). Planning and Organization skills. Initiative & Self-Motivation to achieve results for clients and organizational goals. Communication Skills for effective engagement with stakeholders including senior leadership at clients. Collaborative approach to client servicing and ability to work as part of a team. Ability to work effectively to meet client deadlines. Adaptability to Change and familiarity with internal company technology and product capabilities. What sets you apart: Over 7 years of experience in Insurance broking (within the energy and power sector preferred but not essential). Strong comprehension of business and organizational risk management. Prior track record of managing a portfolio of complex accounts. Profound understanding of insurance and strategic client engagement. Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
