We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Employee Relations Principal to join our HR team and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.
As the Employee Relations Principal, you will play a key role in fostering positive employee relations, supporting a culture of respect, and addressing workplace concerns. You will lead employee relations initiatives, provide expert guidance on HR policies, and manage conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fair and consistent application across the business.

Key Accountabilities:
Specialist workplace relations and policy advice to the HR and Operational Teams
Actively partake in initiatives to create a safe and respectful workplace
Expert on interpretation and application of industrial instruments
Implementation of Employee Relations Strategy with a people-first focus
Enterprise bargaining planning and negotiation
Support the development, review, and application of policies and people frameworks ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices
Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, including harassment, discrimination, and policy violations
Support the preparation of submissions and advocacy before the Fair Work Commission and other relevant tribunals or courts
Foster effective consultative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Coach and mentor members of the HR Business Partnering team
Required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
A tertiary qualification or significant professional working experience in a senior IR/ER role, preferably within the mining and/or resources sector.
Exceptional communicator with demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong ability to analyse data to determine performance and action.
Ability to influence and drive change.
Proven ability to apply knowledge of employment legislation, awards and agreements, policies and best practice.
Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple, diverse projects.
