Interested in working with colleagues and broader regional leadership teams?The Principal Education Officer, Student Support and Engagement Team in Metropolitan North Region provides you with an opportunity to support our schools as they support our learners.Two temporary full-time vacancies exist commencing 21 January 2025 to 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.Job detailsPosition status: Fixed Term TemporaryPosition type: Flexible full-timeOccupational group: Education & TrainingClassification: EOSDWorkplace Location:Job ad reference: QLD/MNR599019/24TClosing date: 10-Nov-2024Yearly salary: $157034 - $159810Fortnightly salary: $6019.10 - $6125.50Job duration: 21 Jan to 12 Dec 2025, unless otherwise determinedThe successful candidate will be employed at the classification listed on the attached role description under EOSD provisions.About the Department of Education:The Department of Education is dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community and schools we support by treating everyone with respect and dignity.About the Role:As the Principal Education Officer, your role will include (but not be limited to):Prioritising, coordinating and delivering direct-to-school support for individual students through the deployment of key members of the multi-disciplinary team and in alignment with student case management processes.Providing high-level advice to principals and school leadership teams to maximise learning opportunities for every student.Ensuring alignment of regional resources to areas of student and school support need within the Equity and Excellence priority areas.About You:The role suits an experienced Deputy Principal who is looking for a new professional experience or lens, someone who loves leading teams and helping team members build their capability, and who is committed to making a difference for students.Mandatory Requirements:You must be a permanent employee of the department with a substantive teaching or classified officer role employed under Teaching in State Education Award - State 2016, have current full registration as a teacher.Employees engaged temporarily as Education Officer - Special Duties have a requirement of 36¼ hours per week attendance.When working in regulated employment, an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.Interested?
