As a Principal Earthing & Bonding Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the safety, reliability, and integration of high voltage power systems.

What you'll do Your day will consist of, but not be limited to:
Focusing on earthing and bonding strategies, modelling, and practical experience across multiple disciplines. Applying high-level conceptual, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills in developing electrical earthing and bonding design solutions. Demonstrating earthing and bonding design experience, preferably including knowledge of traction system earthing and stray current mitigation methods. Providing technical leadership and mentoring to other employees. Collaborating with clients and all areas of the business to enhance project outcomes. Maintaining a working knowledge of relevant regulatory, engineering legislation, codes of practice, and standards associated with earthing, bonding, and lightning protection. About You You have a passion for E&B and are looking for a role that will allow you to continue to grow your career at the highest level, adding more value to your current experience and skillset while working on truly iconic and exciting projects!
You will possess:
Professional experience in earthing, bonding, electrolysis, and lightning protection designs for railway AC or DC traction systems and/or projects. In-depth knowledge of the effects of DC stray current corrosion and EMI/EMC, and appropriate mitigation measures. Experience in High Voltage and Low Voltage earth grid design and testing for transmission and distribution projects. Proficiency in CDEGS software for earthing design simulation. Ability to provide engineering solutions from concept design through to detail design, including consultation and review in the field of electrical earthing and bonding. Support during the construction phase by providing ongoing design assistance. Experience in putting together design tenders. Review of earthing and bonding designs produced by other team members. In-depth knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and industry guidelines. Supervision and mentoring of junior team members in the design process. Having Chartered Engineering (CPEng), RPEQ, RPEV, etc., is an added advantage. In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes:
