Principal Consultant

to join the team. As a member of our Data & Digital Consulting team, you will be 'output' focused and have experience working across a variety of sectors and client types, supporting delivery and implementation of performance improvements across Portfolios and Programs of work. In addition to driving impactful client outcomes, you will be expected to support business and service development to help grow our team and market presence. We are looking for someone with a passion for data improvements and client excellence, but who is also keen to help build our team and service profile and continue on our journey as a leader within the industry.Job Description

As a Principal Consultant, you will support the key analytical and system development activities performed by the Consulting Data and Digital Team for our clients, including:Providing data strategy and design recommendations to our clients based upon data maturity diagnosticsDeveloping digital technology strategies including investment recommendationsLeading digital project implementation through stakeholder management and scope coordinationThe development of key client data insight reports used to drive enhanced portfolio performance and managementThe development of program/portfolio management systems used to improve delivery reporting and controlDeploying enhanced data management frameworks with clients and managing increased levels of data competency across organisationsAs a Principal Consultant, you will be expected to support our team by:Supporting our market presence by identifying new project opportunities through networking and relationship buildingLeading and delivering open tender responses and understanding what a strong proposal response looks likeSupporting service line development by identifying new products or methodologies which can be taken to marketHelping manage internal data warehousing platform environments and our internal data strategiesHelping our broader team members develop through mentoring and coaching with a focus on data and digital professional developmentIn addition to these primary activities in the role, you may be asked to assist with the following activities:Development of key client financial reports and scenario analytics used in Business Case DevelopmentProviding hands-on PMO support through the management of programs and coordinating key data entry required for delivery and financial reportingAssisting with data and digital diagnostics findings reports and recommendation papersIdentifying improvement or efficiency opportunities and producing coherent and persuasive cases for data and digital changeTranslating client data and digital strategy into clear action plans that make a tangible difference and leading performance improvement initiativesOversight and management of system deployments with vendors, including implementation planning, ensuring the production of the detailed project planDevelopment of small-scale applications which can be deployed to clients, or for internal useData and Digital SkillsDigital and technology strategy and enhancement recommendations (Intermediate to advanced)Data strategy and architecture design management (Intermediate to advanced)System integration (Intermediate)Analytical reporting skills and dashboard development (Advanced)Scenario analytics and modelling (Advanced)Data interrogation and cleaning (Intermediate)Source data standardization and key mapping skills (Intermediate)Development of key insights reports based upon analytical findings (Advanced)Creating conceptual data maps and data schemas (Intermediate)Understanding of using statistics to interpret data (Intermediate)System KnowledgeProgramming

Python/R Data (or similar) - (Intermediate)MS Visual Studio or similar; – (Intermediate)MS365 Power Platform (Apps, automate) – (Intermediate)

Database Platform Development

Microsoft SQL + SSMS – (Intermediate)Microsoft Azure Platform (Synapse, Machine Learning, Databricks) – (Intermediate)

Qualifications

Be currently in Australia with full Australian working rightsA degree in one of the following: Computer/Data Science, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, EngineeringA minimum of 5 years professional experience in one of the following fields: management consulting, business management, project management or information technologyGood understanding of business improvement approaches including business process re-engineering, system development, change management and other relevant techniques(Preferred) Experience in Data and Digital roles; Data Analyst, Digital Consultant, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Cyber Security, Technology Specialist, System Developer(Preferred) Experience of working across a variety of sectors that include property, retail, banking and both the private and public sectorExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEnthusiastic, ability to work autonomously and strong problem-solving skillsAdditional Information
