Permanent / Full time roleSydney locationHybrid opportunity – minimum 2 days in officeHow will I help? The purpose of this role is to lead the data science team and capability for Insights & Analytics within CBMO, providing sharp thinking leadership regarding Machine-Learning and AI for C-suite.
Grow, lead and mentor the DS team and capabilities of the organisation.Lead end-to-end flagship advanced analytics projects, identifying business/process pain points/opportunities for machine-learning (ML), DS and AI to add at-scale business value. Convert ideas/hypotheses into tangible proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives, proving or disproving by implementing experiments. Deploy successful initiatives all the way into operation/deployment at scale.Provide thought leadership around multiple fronts, including the investment/employment of cutting-edge technology, the ethical usage of ML/DS/AI, as well as its corresponding risk governance and operational framework.Provide trusted advice and mentorship regarding DS/ML/AI for not only the team but senior executive leaders.What do I need? Python, Teradata/SQL, Hadoop/Hive/Spark.Various ML methods, supervised, unsupervised, and so on.In-depth understanding of ML Ops (Git, Docker, Jenkins, and Linux, etc).Business acumen and knowledge of how DS/ML/AI can be applied in real-world environments.Team leadership and mentorship.Senior stakeholder engagement, management, and tuition.Project management, understanding of agile way of working as well as associated tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.What's in it for me?
