About The Role
The Critical Technologies Team leads the development of policies, programs and initiatives to increase the state's research and development capability and capacity in critical technologies (including artificial intelligence, machine learning, photonics, quantum technologies) and that facilitates industry awareness and adoption. The Team also leads the development and delivery of the Cyber Security Industry Development Workplan.
As the Principal or Manager, Cyber Security Industry Development, you will be responsible for implementing and coordinating programs, projects and services which facilitate growth of the cyber security industry in South Australia and foster collaboration between Government, industry, and academia.
The role is responsible for developing and implementing forward thinking, responsive and adaptable strategies for the cyber security industry and delivering key initiatives from the Cyber Security Industry Development Workplan, ensuring alignment to the national 2023-2030 Australian Cyber Security Strategy.
Key Competencies:
To apply and succeed in the role, you will have:
Extensive and contemporary knowledge of cyber security concepts, threats and vulnerabilities and economic growth opportunities for South Australia's cyber security industry. Knowledge of government policy development, governance, decision-making, management and accountability systems and processes. Experience strategically leading and managing the development, delivery and evaluation of programs, projects and services which engage and promote innovation and growth within the cyber security industry. Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-quality industry engagement and development initiatives and in the provision of a responsive, client-centred approach to the resolution of issues with internal and external stakeholders. Please note: This role is being offered at the ASO7 or ASO8 level. The successful applicant will be appointed at either classification commensurate to knowledge, skills and experience held.
