Principal Contracts Advisor - Eva Copper MineThe Eva Copper Mine (ECM) is located in North West Queensland approximately 75km north-west of Cloncurry. The greenfield Eva Copper Mine Project is a significant and strategically important project for Harmony Gold Mining Company Pty Ltd.The Project will be the largest mining operation in North West Queensland with a minimum mine life of 15 years, and will involve mining multiple open cut pits providing copper-bearing ore to a concentrator. The project is permitted, and the mine site will include development of these pits, a copper concentrator, associated processing and non-processing services and infrastructure including tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, water management facilities, power generation and an accommodation village.Harmony is currently preparing to progress the Execution Phase of the Eva Copper Mine Project in support of achieving near term 1st production and are seeking highly motivated and experienced people to join our growing project delivery and operations teams. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of defining, building and operating a major forward-facing metal mining operation that will offer employment opportunities across the project life cycle, from project definition and delivery into operations.We currently have a vacancy for a talented Principal Contracts Advisor to join our projects team based in Milton. This is a maximum term role aligned with the project completion and close out, anticipated to be 31 December 2027.Responsibilities include:Support stakeholders to develop best in class scopes of work and business cases.Preparation of sourcing and negotiation strategies that deliver best for project and win-win outcomes.Analysis of budgets and benchmarking of spend against should cost models and bid submissions.Management of contract variations including analysis of any indexation or other adjustments.Management of contract performance in accordance with KPI regimes and relationship management programs.Lead end to end sourcing activities including bid preparation, evaluation, through to award.Support various contract, compliance and spend reporting.Liaise with legal during contract reviews and in response to any legal claims.Ensure compliance to project requirements such as Australian Industry Participation Plan (AIPP) and other internal and external requirements.What you will bring to Harmony:Substantial experience (8+ years) at a senior level establishing and managing high-value long-term contracts.Substantial experience in mining and construction across a broad range of sourcing categories including but not limited to aviation, power supply, construction and mineral processing equipment.Bachelor of Commerce, Business or Law.Specialist knowledge of sourcing concepts, processes, activities and trends.Ability to meet project deadlines.Willing and able to travel to site on an ad-hoc basis in accordance with the demands of the project (not on a FIFO roster basis).Location:Office-based role at our Milton office in Brisbane with ad-hoc travel as the project demands.What We Offer:An opportunity to be part of a formidable team focused on building an exciting, new project.Eligible to participate in the company bonus scheme.Highly competitive remuneration, incentives, and other benefits.Corporate / discounted rates with Medibank and Qantas Club.Access to Harmony's benefits discounts scheme.Harmony is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.Work for a company that values their employees and recognises their contribution.To Apply:If you believe you have the skills, knowledge and experience to fulfil this role, please submit your application online by clicking 'Apply'.
