Fixed term full time appointment commencing ASAP until 15 May 2025 with the possibility of a further temporary appointment and/or permanency. The Role
Principal Consultant Workforce Planning and Development plays a vital role in conducting extensive stakeholder consultations, research, and analysis to identify, plan, and develop innovative skills and workforce development strategies that address the needs of Western Australia's diverse regions and industries.
In this dynamic position, you will collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Industry and Regional Workforce Planning as part of a small, high-performing team.
Responsibilities include delivering the Department's Regional Engagement Strategy, the WA Jobs, Education and Training (WAJET) annual consultation process, undertaking qualitative data assessments, and a range of strategic planning initiatives to assist in identifying and implementing workforce and Vocational Education and Training priorities for the State.
You will also prepare ministerial briefings and reports on complex issues, as well as provide secretariat support to steering committees.
Strong written, analytical, and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders through both virtual and face-to-face meetings across various regional locations.
