Due to upcoming parental leave, SLR's rapidly growing social performance team is looking to recruit a Principal Consultant with a strong background in designing and delivering Social Impact Assessments, first nations engagement, and designing and implementing community and stakeholder engagement programs.
This opportunity will suit a Social Performance expert with 12+ years of experience and is based in our modern Perth offices.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of permanency after the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
You will work in partnership with a mix of our 23 Disciplines, collaborating with many of our 1000 (and counting!)
employees in APAC.
Your responsibilities will include:
Support the Social Performance team across APAC.Provide specialist advice to clients on social impact assessment, including SIA management plans, considering social and community needs and complying with relevant Australian and international standards.Mentor and train junior staff in Brisbane and across the national Social Performance team.Manage, direct, and complete projects to a high standard in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management, and overall client satisfaction.Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and other leading consultants.Adhere to professional standards, ethics, and quality procedures.Contribute to our proud company culture.Experience
Our ideal candidate will have:
12+ years of experience in Social Performance/Social Impact/Communications and Engagement roles.Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, social sciences, or a related field.Experience in Social Impact Assessment and adherence to national and international standards.Experience in developing organisational and project sustainability strategies.Interest in ESG frameworks, circular economy, climate change adaptation, and resilience.Proven ability in strategic business development and a strong existing client network.A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work with multiple disciplines.Experience in the consulting industry.Our Benefits
