Public School Accountability are seeking to establish a pool of Principal Consultants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2025 and up to the end of December, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
There is currently one fixed term, full time position available initially for approximately 5 weeks, commencing in January 2025, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
The Department of Education's strategic plan outlines the commitment for every child to enjoy a high quality of education, no matter where they live and no matter their abilities. With all Western Australian public schools reviewed by the Public School Accountability Directorate, Public School Reviews provide assurances to school communities and the Department that schools are performing as expected.
School self-assessments are submitted electronically and considered by a review team comprised of a Director and a Principal peer reviewer. The review team conduct a school-based validation visit and a report is prepared reflecting the school's submission, planning intentions and confirming the review return timeframe. The Public School Accountability directorate also undertakes commissioned processes, such as targeted reviews.
The Role
Suitable applicants will have highly developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate highly developed leadership, strategic planning and change management skills and attributes necessary to support the efficient and effective operation of the Directorate.
With exceptional organisational skills, you will support corporate planning, decision making and reporting by providing data analysis, interpretation and consultancy services on trends and issues pertaining to Public School Reviews. You will conduct research and investigations to ensure issues and risks are efficiently and effectively managed, providing appropriate recommendations.
A highly developed ability to make recommendations and provide innovative solutions to strategic and complex problems and issues is essential.
