About the roleDLGSC is seeking to establish a pool for the role of Principal Consultant for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies across the department.
This position provides project and strategic management expertise and supports the relevant Deputy Director General or Executive Director to effectively deliver the outcomes of the division. It is responsible for providing advice and critical analysis, managing and resolving identified issues, coordinating activities across the division and ensuring the quality, consistency and delivery of written correspondence and documentation for the division.
The suitable applicant will require highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and will be responsible for a variety of duties including:
Coordinates the management of priority projects, providing critical analysis and quality assurance to contribute to the achievement of the organisation's objectives.Proactively building internal and external relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective delivery of divisional priorities and initiatives and resolve issues.Providing strategic advice on policies, procedures, budgets, and critical operational issues at the whole of office and system level.Managing special projects and issues of a critical nature on behalf of the Deputy Director General or Executive Director.Representing the Deputy Director General or Executive Director as required, in various forums, events, meetings and on committees.We currently have one, full time (75hrs p/f) position available for immediate filling.
The available role provides high-level executive support to the Deputy Director General Management and Coordination division which covers:
Local GovernmentRacing, Gaming and LiquorRegulatory ReformSport and RecreationCulture and the ArtsOffice of Multicultural InterestsAboriginal History WAThroughout the life of this pool positions may become available for filling in other divisions across DLGSC.
