Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) is looking for an experienced HR practitioner to join the Human Resources Group.

In the role of Principal Consultant HR Business Partner, you will provide expert HR advice and solutions to key clients, predominantly working with the agency's seniorleaders and Human Resources teams. This role will provide you the opportunity to share your acquired knowledge, collaborate closely with your key stakeholders andlead a team with a focus on HR and people capability.

This role also offers you:
• A total remuneration package of $138,597 - $148,413 per annum (inclusive of 12.75% superannuation)
• Flexible working opportunities to balance work and personal needs
• The opportunity to travel to various location within Queensland
The role of AO7 Principal Consultant HR Business Partner is a valued and trusted advisor to senior leaders, managers and supervisors within QCS. The HR Business Partner is relied upon to provide high-level advice on complex HR matters, working in partnership with People Capability Command peers, to problem-solve and embed compliant, consistent and transparent HR practices.
The HR Business Partner leads a team of HR practitioners. As the team leader, you are responsible for the capability development of your teams and point of escalation to ensure an effective and efficient HR service is provided.
You will work as part of a team with several other HR Business Partners, sharing knowledge and learnings and building strong governance, framework and process to benefit the organisation.
To assess whether you are an ideal applicant for this role, QCS is seeking a suitable applicant that possesses most of the following: • Generalist HR knowledge with an applied ability to learn relevant legislation, industrial and contemporary HR frameworks, HR policies, processes and practices and the ability to apply these in a complex organisational environment.
• Demonstrated experience providing HR business partnering via a values-based, client-centric consultancy model while gathering material, assessing findings, and developing strategies in response to diverse client needs within a complex environment.
• Demonstrated experience or ability leading a team of HR professionals, with a focus on capability uplift and effective and efficient service delivery.
• Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-level HR advice and designing solution-focused interventions that meet clients' needs.
• High level consultative and relationship management skills and the capacity to establish, influence and maintain effective working relationships with clients and key internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to build rapport and interact with clients to influence and negotiate solution-focused outcomes that meet business needs.
