Salary: Level 7, $128,077 - $136,891 per annum (pro-rata) (PSCA 2022)
This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing December 2024, with possible extension and/or permanency.
The Commercial and Contract Services Directorate is part of the Finance and Commercial Services Division and is responsible for providing procurement and commercial legal support to the Department of Education for contract planning and management, insurance and fleet management.
The Role The Commercial and Contracting Services Directorate is seeking to appoint an experienced procurement professional to work within the Commercial Procurement Services (CPS) team, who is interested in and passionate about improving educational outcomes for students in public schools through best procurement practice .
The CPS team provides procurement and contract development services for all Department of Education (the Department) contracts valued at $50,000 or more.
This includes the preparation of procurement documents including Procurement Plans, Requests and Evaluation Reports, as well as the facilitation of tender evaluations in compliance and alignment with the WA Procurement Rules.
The successful applicant will:
Facilitate, develop and manage complex and/or high-risk whole of Department and school-facing contracts.
Undertake probity, compliance and quality assessment of procurement and complete quality assurance of contract and procurement approval procedures and processes.
Lead, manage and mentor staff in the development of medium risk contracts.
Lead business and/or process improvement initiatives within CPS.
