The Council plans and delivers quality services and infrastructure for the more than 400,000 residents who call Casey home.A bit about the roleYou will lead construction supervision and delivery of sustainable civil infrastructure projects in the City of Casey. Collaborate with the Principal Construction Engineer to manage resources and enhance the effectiveness of construction programs.What you'll deliverLead and support a team of Construction Engineers on Civil Infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance and quality.Manage contractor adherence to contracts and OHS regulations and oversee variations and change requests.Participate in tender assessments, ensuring expert advice for contract awards and proper handover of assets post-project.Contribute to the forecasting and prioritisation of future capital works programs from a delivery perspective.Embrace responsibility and seek development opportunities for self and others.Offer guidance and support through shared leadership, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.Advise on Council's responses to Civil Construction issues for timely and quality outcomes.Engage with stakeholders, providing expert advice on Civil Infrastructure project delivery and management.Represent the Council on community and joint agency committees as needed.Support operations by assisting with asset protection and development application assessments.What you'll bringA tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, or relevant related equivalent.Hold or be eligible for Professional Engineering Registration (RP Eng.) and willing to register.Demonstrated experience in managing civil construction activities and supervising staff and contractors.Skilled in coordinating and delivering complex civil infrastructure projects.Proven background in subdivisional construction and enforcing compliance with approved plans and standards.Strong communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders at all levels.Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check & Eligibility to Work check.A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.What's next?If you think this role might be for you, we would love to hear from you.
