Our client is seeking a Principal Communications Officer to join their dynamic team.
This role is an integral part of the Enterprise Email Marketing project, which aims to revolutionise corporate communication by shifting from a decentralised, program-led model to an audience-focused one.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to this transformative initiative, improving communication across all staff members and enhancing overall productivity and customer experience.
Integral role in a transformative communications project Opportunity to improve corporate communication across all staff Contribute to enhancing productivity and customer experience What you'll do: As a Principal Communications Officer, your role will be pivotal in transforming our approach to corporate communication.
You will be responsible for creating, testing, and delivering effective business processes.
Your expertise will be crucial in managing an online communications hub like Sharepoint Online and embedding best practice communication processes across various regions.
You will also develop tools, checklists, and resources that operationalise the EEMS within the new operating model.
Your ability to plan, create, and deliver engaging communication for stakeholders will be highly valued.
Furthermore, you will support delivery and monitor agreed project outcomes while maintaining a strong customer focus.
Create, test and deliver effective business processes related to EEMS that result in improved corporate communication Manage an online communications hub (e.g.
Sharepoint Online) Embed best practice communication processes in 8 regions including finalising the development of the Share Point Online Regional Hub Develop tools, checklists and resources that operationalise the EEMS within the new operating model Plan, create and deliver engaging communication for stakeholders and key audience groups Support delivery and monitor agreed project outcomes encouraging a strong customer focus Participate within the project team in undertaking research and analysis of contemporary issues related to the project Liaise, consult and collaborate with other work units within the department, other government departments and agencies, and relevant professional associations and networks.
What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Principal Communications Officer role brings strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering strategic communication for internal staff within a large decentralised organisation.
You are proficient in using Sharepoint Online for planning, building, and managing a resources hub.
Your familiarity with effective best practice processes for communicating with staff in a large decentralised organisation will be highly valued.
You have experience participating in and contributing to change within a large decentralised organisation.
Knowledge of Queensland Government communication processes and structures is preferred but not mandatory.
Above all, you are a team player who can work effectively with others.
Proven skills in planning, preparing and delivering strategic communication for internal staff in a large decentralised organisation Proficiency in Sharepoint Online – planning, building/developing and managing a resources hub Familiarity with effective best practice processes for communicating with staff in a large decentralised organisation Experience participating in and contributing to change in a large decentralised organisation Knowledge of current Queensland Government communication processes and structures preferred Ability to work effectively as a team member Only looking at Brisbane based candidates at this time.
