Your new opportunityThis role provides expert advice to senior managers and internal stakeholders on communication and engagement activities and strategies, contemporary content and other aspects of communication and engagement. You will also provide effective leadership for your team, as well as communication and engagement leadership to internal stakeholders to ensure TMR's strategic objectives are met.Some of your responsibilities will include:• Preparing, managing and coordinating internal and external communication initiatives, including stakeholder management and engagement.• Providing tactical and operational advice on change management, engagement, and communication matters and strategies.• Planning, developing, and delivering communication information and material to facilitate project implementation and delivery.• Developing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate cooperation, coordination, and enhanced communication channels.• Preparing, reviewing, and providing input into communication material, executive correspondence, and consultation plans for major and/or sensitive matters (such as planning studies and construction projects) to help identify potential challenges and mitigate risks.• Providing assistance and support to leaders to enhance communication competence and strengthen their leadership goals and activities to achieve greater employee engagement.• Fostering and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and embracing a positive team culture.What experience you will bring:• The successful development and implementation of program and project specific communication plans and initiatives.• Highly developed communication and engagement skills with multiple and diverse stakeholder groups.• The ability to demonstrate clear strategic recommendations and to effectively translate and express complex ideas and issues for a variety of audiences using a multitude of channels.• Superior written communication and interpersonal skills.• The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment to deliver tasks on time.Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications in journalism or communications will be highly regarded.TMR acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of Queensland's land and waterways.
