This role provides expert advice to senior managers and other stakeholder on communication activities and strategies, contemporary content and other aspects of communication.
This role provides expert advice to senior managers and other stakeholder on communication activities and strategies, contemporary content and other aspects of communication.
You will work with a range of stakeholders to project manage communication activities that are aligned with Treasury's corporate direction and government policy.
In this role, you will:
Develop and manage strategic communication projects to support Treasury's strategic objectives.
Create and manage department-wide communication material, crafting compelling stories and narratives in a creative and interactive way to capture audience engagement including for corporate communication channels, external publications, online and social platforms, annual reports, media releases, speeches, budget papers, staff newsletters, brochures and other communication collateral.
Support a number of event management activities including staff Town Halls, Budge and post-Budget events and stakeholder forums.
Provide coaching to leaders to enhance communication competence and support their leadership goals and activities to achieve greater employee engagement.
Manage multiple complex projects, schedule and prioritise work with conflicting set deadlines whilst ensuring attention to detail.
Harness the latest technologies, techniques and networks available to identify opportunities and best practice to improve communication strategies.
Foster and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and emabrace a positive team culture.
What experience you will bring:
• successfully developing and implementing program and project specific communication plans and initiatives
• highly developed communication and engagement skills with multiple and diverse stakeholder groups
• ability to make clear strategic recommendations and to effectively translate and express complex ideas and issues for a variety of audiences and channels
• superior written communication skills
• ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment to deliver tasks on time
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications in journalism or communications will be highly regarded.
