About the Role Fixed term fulltime until 30 November 2027
The project team is looking for an experienced commercial professional to assist in delivering the pre-procurement and procurement stages of the project.
This role reports to the Director, MR5 Commercial.
The successful candidate will be required to autonomously lead the development of key deliverables of the commercial workstream and work closely with the broader project team (including specialist advisory consultancies) to deliver on the project objectives.
In addition, you will lead the formulation of commercial principles, leveraging specialised expertise to shape commercial positions that contribute to a robust and effective commercial framework, drive key aspects of the procurement process, ensuring the delivery of timely outcomes that align with project timelines and provide valuable commercial support throughout all stages of the procurement process.

Policy Design and Development (Leading) – Builds trusting relationships with Senior Leaders across the VPS to engender support for proposals.Business & Commercial Acumen (Leading) - Drives value for money and optimal risk allocation outcomes in a pragmatic manner.
Derives own conclusions (based on stakeholder input, advice, data and analysis) to support sound commercial advice.Influence & Persuasion (Leading) – Provides expert advice to stakeholders and is able to obtain buy-in from key clients for commercial propositions, risk allocation outcomes and strategic advice.Stakeholder Management (Leading) - Identifies and effectively manages a range of complex and often competing stakeholder needs.Qualifications and Experience Mandatory
