We are looking for a seasoned Civil Engineer versed with urban development and infrastructure projects. Our client is a well-known civil consultancy, with their hands on some dynamic, long-running projects they are delivering across Australia, with a large focus on Queensland Subdivision and infrastructure.
We are looking for a Principal Engineer who is well versed in the sector to help our client deliver projects, manage the existing team, and assist in the growth of the consultancy. This role is based in Brisbane with a more detailed insight below.
Qualifications and Desired Expertise: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Possess 8+ years of civil engineering experience, as a Senior Civil Engineer and aspiring to step into a senior role. Technical knowledge in: Subdivisions Stormwater Drainage Residential and commercial works Flood management Communication skillset to build relationships with clients, stakeholders, local councils as well as the internal design team (including Engineers, 12D Designers / Drafters). Business development aptitude, to assist in bringing in future work. Have a comprehensive understanding of local standards and systems, including those of Local Councils and relevant authorities. Develop and nurture client relationships while strengthening existing ones. Holding a Registered Professional Engineer QLD (RPEQ) / National Engineer Register (NER) accreditation or on their way to gaining it. Demonstrate strong time management skills to consistently meet project deadlines. Possess an acute attention to detail. Display a strong ability to manage commercial risks and exercise sound judgement. Past design experience (12D) also carries a long way, although the role will be design management/overviewing.
