Provide specialist advice to assist other unit priorities as required including data-related working groups.The Role:Provide high level advice to senior managers and executive on key performance indicators affecting healthcare services within the state.Provide high level expert advice and support to the Manager Health Information including the development of complex position papers, reports, correspondence and briefings at a high level affecting acute healthcare services within the state and within required timeframes.Undertake research and analysis, evaluate options and make recommendations to respond to new and emerging developments or requirements including ABF and Commonwealth initiatives.Build strong working relationships with senior leaders and business units, understand relevant business areas and support the business in better understanding and interpreting financial information and performance metrics.Drive ongoing development, process improvement and maintenance of management reporting, budget reporting and the forecasting processes and policies, including documented procedures.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.The Team:Responsible for collecting, processing, analysing and disseminating information on the health of Tasmanians and their use of health services.Responsible for interpreting policies, regulations and guidelines to manage the development and delivery of reporting outcomes in line with current and future business needsResponsibility for the national statutory activity reporting (National Minimum Data Sets/Best Endeavours Data Sets - Activity Based Funding (ABF) and Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) reporting.Position FeaturesDetails of AppointmentPermanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicantApplicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.Salary: $124,371 - $130,905 per annum.
