An exciting position exists for a chartered bridge design engineer to join a CBD-based Engineering & Construction firm as they continue to expand.The Company:Operating for over 20 years, this Melbourne based engineering and construction firm has developed an enviable reputation within the Australian infrastructure and transport industries.Due to sustained business growth, they have identified an opportunity to further expand the company's capacity by creating an additional role for a technical lead within their engineering team.The Role:You will function in a Principal Bridge Engineer role with a technical focus.You will see projects delivered from concept through to completion and use your technical experience to mitigate any project risks that should arise.You will act as a point of technical escalation for the established bridges team.You will act as a technical expert, providing guidance, feedback and advice to engineers within the team.Requirements:As the successful candidate you will have:10+ years of experience as a Bridge Engineer.Chartered Engineer status.Experience leading bridge engineering projects from inception through to completion.Strong technical design experience on a broad range of bridges, including vehicular and rail bridges.The capability to mentor junior staff members.Strong stakeholder management skills.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Culture:Diverse and social group of engineering professionals, with a balanced focus on project delivery, teamwork and employee well-being.
