AGL is looking for a visionary Principal Architect – Trading and Portfolio to lead technology transformation and drive strategic business outcomes.
In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate with business leaders, develop future-state capabilities, and ensure our technology landscape stays ahead of industry trends.
You'll also be the driving force behind architecture excellence, empowering teams to deliver value through modern tools, cloud adoption, and automation.
What you'll be doing - Strategic Leadership - Lead and mentor a team of architects to design and deliver fit-for-purpose technology solutions, driving AGL's competitive edge.Future-Focused Architecture - Design business capabilities with a focus on flexibility, agility, and disruption while modernising and simplifying existing technology.Collaboration & Influence - Work closely with AGL business and IT leaders to co-create architecture roadmaps that align with strategic priorities, balancing cost, timelines, and risk.Community Building - Foster an architecture community, providing thought leadership and ensuring architecture principles and best practices guide AGL's technology investments.Continuous Improvement- Drive efficiency by eliminating tech debt, promoting reusable components, and decommissioning legacy technologies to future-proof AGL's systems.Transformational Impact - Champion architectural excellence across engineering teams, ensuring the adoption of DevSecOps, cloud technologies, and automation to accelerate delivery and innovation.About Yourself - Demonstrated technology and architecture leadership experience, ideally across multiple industries with a focus on Energy and Telco.
Proven ability to lead architecture in Agile environments, with hands-on experience in business, data, application, and security architecture.
Strong commercial acumen and experience driving business transformation through thought leadership and strategic vision.
Expertise in working within complex, matrix organisations and delivering results through influence and collaboration.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and inspire senior business leaders.
