About the Architecture Technology team The Architecture team is part of the Technology business area and is responsible for shaping AGL's technological landscape and IT infrastructure.

We are looking for a dynamic Principal Architect – Integration to design and implement innovative architecture that seamlessly connects our data, apps, assets, and business models.
Reporting to the Manager of Integration, Data, and AI/ML Architecture, this individual contributor role is at the forefront of enabling efficient access to business applications and IT systems.
What you'll be doing Architectural Leadership: Develop architecture blueprints, reference models, and integration strategies that align with AGL's corporate vision and IT strategy.Innovation & Emerging Tech: Stay ahead of industry trends and new technologies, ensuring AGL's systems evolve through modern tooling, automation, cloud adoption, and transformational ideas that drive value.Strategic Design & Delivery: End-to-end accountability for high-level design and implementation, producing reusable architecture patterns, and leading the continuous improvement of integration systems.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders across IT and business units to shape investments, eliminate tech debt, and drive technology simplification.Mentorship & Development: Provide guidance to fellow architects, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and innovation.About yourself Technical Expertise: Proven experience in architecture roles within large, complex organisations, with hands-on experience in integration architecture.Hands-On Experience: Proven ability to design and operate high-performance platforms, with practical expertise in SaaS, microservices, Azure Integration, and Boomi (preferred).Business Process Knowledge: Experience with Business Process Management is required, and knowledge of Appian is an added advantage.Problem-Solving & Leadership: Strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex technical ideas in a simplified manner for senior stakeholders.Project Management: Ability to manage and prioritise complex integration projects, delivering fit-for-purpose solutions on time and within budget.At AGL, we offer a wide range of benefits including: Flexible working options including hybrid work.Discounts on energy, telcos and solar plans.Participate in Energise - our reward & recognition program.Access 20 weeks of paid parental leave for the primary carer.Access to an additional week of recharge leave per year.Play an active role in our diversity & inclusion initiatives.Novated leasing and Electric Vehicle subscriptions.Access to study assistance, AGL's share purchase plan and insurance deals.*Benefits may change over time and vary based on location We'd love to see your application by COB Wednesday, 29th January.
