About the role We are currently recruiting for a Principal Architect at Essential Energy.
Are you a visionary leader with a passion for digital transformation?
Essential Energy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Architect to drive our enterprise architecture and digital strategies.
As the Principal Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing, planning, and developing Essential Energy's Enterprise Architecture.
You will ensure alignment between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities, and technology directions, setting the stage for our journey towards becoming a Digital Utility.
This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities: Develop ICT blueprints and roadmaps for designated applications.
Lead business-facing digital architecture initiatives, including blueprinting, digital business architecture, application rationalisation, architecture governance, and project quality assurance.
Provide ICT leadership and technical advice to influence decisions and resolve business issues.
Partner with senior business leaders to develop digital solutions and align business strategies with our technology future state.
Oversee the production and implementation of architecture solutions covering multiple cloud and AaS technologies.
Collaborate with Program Managers and Architects to define and design technology solutions.
Drive strategic partnerships with vendors and other parties to foster technology innovation.
Conduct detailed research to identify future technology trends and assess their applicability to support business objectives.
About You A team player with strong leadership skills and a natural ability to encourage and motivate colleagues.
You will have an ability to evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major system design options whilst proving advice on technical aspect of systems development and integration.
You will have excellent communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills to influence outcomes in a changing environment.
In addition to this you will have: Specialised professional with substantial experience in a similar/professional role Experience in Architecture, strategy and roadmap design, blueprints and architecture with industry- relevant perspectives and patterns Strong experience managing complex technical projects and programs of work including change management within large enterprises, preferably in Information Technology Professional experience using appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of systems architectures in specific business or functional areas Producing detailed component specifications and translating these into detailed designs for implementation using selected products Experience to specify and design large or complex systems selecting appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensure they are applied effectively.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Substantial experience in information or digital technologies.
Desirable: Masters or Post Graduate qualifications, architecture-related certifications (e.g., TOGAF, CITA, EACOE), and qualifications in Project/Program Management (e.g., Prince 2, PMBOK) Why Essential Energy We offer competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience.
