The Principal Architect - Corporate Finance position is a leader in the Architecture practice within the Enterprise Services CTO organisation whose primary role is to hold end to end responsibility for effective design, implementation, and optimisation of technology solutions for our Finance and Corporate (including Procurement, Risk, Property, Board Liaison, and EPMO) business stakeholders.
This position is responsible for leading the definition of the Finance and Corporate IT blueprint and roadmap which provides the enterprise with a common vision of future state architecture. This role requires a strong technology strategy and architecture background, knowledge of emerging domain technologies (ERP, procurement, financial systems, integration, AI, etc.), project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with business and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities: Establish and run the Architecture team responsible for architecture and technical governance, developing architectural blueprints and high-level design for Finance and Corporate solutions. Accountable for leading research and evaluation of emerging domain technologies, frameworks, and tools to identify opportunities for innovation in the Finance and Corporate domain. Lead the development of the Finance and Corporate Technology Strategy and Roadmap in alignment with business objectives and technological advancements. Lead the development of architectural blueprints and high-level designs for finance and corporate solutions, considering scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements. Provide technical leadership and guidance to finance and corporate solution development ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, integration, and architectural principles. Represent the Finance and Corporate needs into all group architecture functions, meetings, and governance, providing enterprise-level guidance and governance back to the team. Conduct research and evaluation of emerging Finance and Corporate technologies, frameworks, and tools to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement. Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements, prioritise initiatives, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Mentor and guide team members, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing. You will have outstanding socialisation, written and verbal communication skills, be curious, and capable of communicating with both internal and external stakeholders including solution vendors, customers, and business GMs as required.
