Position Overview:
They are seeking a passionate and experienced Principal Aquatic Ecologist to join their Brisbane office. This role offers the chance to lead and contribute to a variety of projects aimed at protecting and enhancing aquatic ecosystems. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage aquatic ecology projects, including planning, fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting. Provide expert ecological advice and insights to clients and stakeholders. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring project goals and expectations are met. Mentor and support junior ecologists, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in aquatic ecology. Contribute to business development by identifying new project opportunities and preparing proposals. Qualifications and Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related discipline. Extensive experience in aquatic ecology, with a strong background in project management. Proven ability to lead and deliver complex ecological projects on time and within budget. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members. Demonstrated experience in data analysis, report writing, and presenting findings to a variety of audiences.
