As a Principal Analyst in the Legislation, Governance and Banking team, you will have principal responsibility for overseeing the Government's banking arrangements and leading contract management for large scale performance-based contracts. You will lead the provision of advice to departments and agencies regarding banking product and service requirements and application of whole-of-government banking policy. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to national banking policy issues.
Step into a leadership role as a Principal Analyst within Queensland Treasury's Budget Strategy and Financial Reporting (BSFR) team. This role offers the opportunity to oversee whole-of-government banking arrangements and lead contract management in a dynamic, diverse and strategic environment.
In this role, you will: Work closely with banking suppliers and agencies to monitor, recommend improvements and manage performance under the banking contracts.Evaluate banking supplier performance under their contracts and undertake formal contract reviews.Monitor and advise on the management of key risks at a contract level for large, complex contracts.Advise senior Treasury officials on the application of the Government's banking and financial policies.Shape the vision and direction of the team engaged on contract management.Contribute to the ongoing improvement of banking arrangements under the contracts.Produce data analysis and reporting for performance management, reporting and compliance oversight.What experience you will bring: Commercial, legal or contract management experience, ideally with high-value strategic supply contracts.Experience in change management.Ability to provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on the application of Government legislative and policy frameworks.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed, effective and timely decisions.Capability in data analysis and reporting.Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
