We are looking for a talented data specialist to work in our Energy Analytics team. As Principal Analyst, you will have the opportunity to lead and undertake complex analysis and contribute to the effective delivery of policy solutions to complex issues facing the energy sector transformation.

Multiple positions are available at AO7 level, including permanent and fixed-term temporary positions to June 2026.

Your expertise
You will be a strategic influencer - capable of connecting people, workstreams, themes, and insights to bring new value and greater momentum towards the division's overarching objectives.
• Analyse issues in a critical and insightful manner and problem-solve to develop prompt, considered responses.
• Provide timely information and advice, tailoring messages to stakeholder needs, and considering a diversity of perspectives to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Proven experience developing and interpreting quantitative models.
• Experience in complex data analysis using fit-for-purpose tools (e.g. Excel, Python, R, SQL).
• Presentation/data visualization skills such as Power BI.
• At least 5 years relevant experience in analytical roles.
• Experience/knowledge of the Energy sector would be highly regarded.
