Principal Analyst, Education and ResearchWho are we looking for?We are seeking a Principal Analyst, Education and Research to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division.The Principal Analyst, Education & Research is responsible for delivering reports & analytics services which support decision making aligned to all facets of education and research priorities for QUT. The position is a key role in the Analytics team, providing support, advice guidance and leadership to their team of direct reports, while also supporting the Manager, Analytics directly. This role is pivotal to assessing initial customer requirements and managing expectations. Covering areas including Teaching, Research, Learner journey, and Curriculum insights. DBS embraces digital transformation as being fundamental to the delivery on the QUT Digital Strategy to enabling QUT's aspirations outlined in the QUT Connections Strategy.What you need to succeedEducation, training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualifications in the data and analytics discipline and extensive relevant experience.Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience across a broad range of analytics methods and data modelling techniques in the application to reporting and analytics processes.Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with the demonstrated ability to conceptualise, develop and translate complex business issues into creative workable solutions that convert analytics into data products.Proven experience in working with senior stakeholders to develop hypothesis and facilitating analytics workshops that have contributed to major change programs, strategic developments or initiatives via the provision of analysis and insights which inform organisational objectives.Excellent data literacy skills with demonstrated proficiency in multiple Business Intelligence tools, data warehousing best practices, and high availability analytics testing to ensure optimum performance levels, including ability to develop guidelines, advise on best practices and design effective training material.In-depth experience in scaling an analytics program in a complex organisation, managing analytics projects combined with extensive knowledge in quantitative and qualitative data analysis with the ability to interpret data information, policy and procedure.High-level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tell stories with data, quickly establish rapport with stakeholders and manage collaborative working relationships to achieve business outcomes.Life at QUTWe're committed to building a culture that fosters connection between people and purpose.
